About ME
Building the future
Little did I know that my childhood guilty pleasures would unfold into my career path.
If 10 year old Kristina was told that one day she would find a job description that encouraged her Bravo and E! binging she would have said, “yea right”. From the Real Housewives on Bravo to Kardashians on E! keeping up with popular culture and lifestyle brands has been my guilty pleasure since I can remember. Little did I know at that my childhood guilty pleasures would unfold into my career path. Once I learned I could tie culture, lifestyle brands and social media together there was no stopping me. At the age of 16 I interned for The New York Institute of Beauty as the head social media intern for NYC Fashion Week. My responsibilities included posting behind the scenes content to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram while monitoring the other interns. Under my leadership NYIB was trending on twitter for the week. I took this week of experience even further when I organized all their social media accounts and consolidated their logins and content making it easier for the owner to handle her social media in-house. After completing this internship, I knew what I wanted to do in my future so I got started right away. I felt confident enough to start my own lifestyle fitness brand on Instagram (@Kristinaamazz). In just 2 short years it has blossomed into my business as a personal trainer where I inspire girls to love their bodies and the journey of weightlifting. Fitfunfiveone.com is my official website where online training programs and fitness oriented blogs can be found. With 6,000 followers and over 80 clients my first entrepreneurial endeavor proved to be a success. My ability to market and create content that keeps followers engaged entails understanding my audience, their feedback and Google/Instagram analytics. In addition to scheduling and creating content for my own page I am a contract Social Media director for Boss Media Group, LLC. and Innersite Design. In 2014, Boss Media Group, LLC, hired me to promote their short-film #WhoisBeverly on social media platforms. Once again, my ability to engage, promote and get followers resulted in over 900 likes in a little less than 2 weeks on FB. Boss Media brought me on set while filming their short-fills and sizzle reels giving me real world experience in creating captivating content in video format. In addition, I have been employed as the Social Media Director for Innersite Design since 2015 where I create content calendars and video/image production/manipulation for its clients. As if my plate were not full enough, in 2017, I became the ghost-blog writer for Creative Plan Designs. For the past year I have worked closely with the CEO and Founder, Dr. Ron Stair, to curate pieces on the financial industry. Having plenty of experience writing blogs, but little in the financial industry, I dove in and did my research. If I don’t know the answer my Type A personality kicks in and I will research until I find the answers. The task of keeping the reader engaged while disseminating financial information on a level they could understand was quite a new challenge and is a venture I thoroughly enjoy.
This past summer I danced my way into two amazing opportunities in the fields of Marketing and Social Media. Firstly, I was an intern at EGC Marketing Group in Melville, New York. My responsibilities included brainstorming and developing content for their clients CityMD and Kiss/Impress beauty products. I was tasked with organically growing their social media platforms by focusing on research and writing relevant content calendars. I also oversaw comments/feedback on all social media platforms and was charged with responding to/interacting with followers. EGC read my personal blog andwas so impressed they asked me to write blog articles for their own marketing website. It was another fabulous opportunity that resulted in one of my pieces, “Building Brand Awareness and Consistency” being featured on their website. Secondly, I had the opportunity to work at The Marketing Boutique as a client consultant. I developed website and social media content for various clients and attended several client proposal and follow up meetings. I was asked by the CEO to single handedly create a 3 month campaign for their client DashboardNY. DashboardNY has decided to implement my campaign and it will be live soon. I could sit here all day and tell you why my past experience is applicable or why my Type A personality makes me the perfect candidate for juggling several projects, platforms and a bicoastal team but I think my resume speaks for itself. I am a strong leader who loves to learn from those around me. For years I have been creating, filming, editing and writing for myself and several other companies. As a social media native with a passion for popular culture and lifestyle brands, planning for, coordinating and monitoring multiple social media platforms at once are some things that excite me. My ascension in this field has just begun and I’m ready to leap into it full time. Social media specifically platforms play a powerful role in shaping society and speaking to the future. A future where different backgrounds, cultures, meals, languages etc. are explored, shared and celebrated. Social Media has its finger on the pulse of the future and its heartbeat dances in rhythm with my own. If you told 21 year old Kristina that a position existed where she could put her talents and skills to work to help a company showcase their strengths online she would say, “Hire me because I am qualified, eager, and hardworking. “ Plus I have only waited since I was 10 years old for such an opportunity.
As a young woman in today’s world, I am passionate and informed about current politics while still staying on top of popular culture. I like to think I have my finger on the pulse of the future and it has a heartbeat in rhythm with my own. I love the harmonious beats between diversity and social media and I know my drive and passion will lead to success.
Fearless Leader
A strong leader knows the value of listening to and learning from those around them. I am a team player that can work with a group, or on my own.
I was most impressed by Kristina’s ability to work independently and her ability to follow through on every task assigned to her.
Ronald StairKristina was not afraid to share her opinions and brought her viewpoints to the table; a quality that was highly admired. Coupled with her education and work experience, I know Kristina will excel in any communications oriented role.
